PERSONAL HISTORY
Mark Harrison graduated
from Cornell University with a graduate degree in City and Regional
Planning. He received his undergraduate degree in Architecture from
the University of Tennessee in 1978.
Mr. Harrison returned
to Nashville in 1980 and joined Taylor and Crabtree Architects as an
intern architect. While at Taylor and Crabtree, Mr. Harrison performed
a wide variety of duties including project management, design, contract
documents, and field supervision on a multitude of business, institutional,
governmental and residential architectural projects.
Mr. Harrison, newly
licensed by the state of national boards, joined with Ken Adkisson to
form a new architectural firm, Adkisson Harrison & Rick in 1983.
Mr. Harrison and
Mr. Adkisson have continued their partner-in-charge concept of project
management, a personalized service concept, for 20 years. Today, the
firm is known as Adkisson Harrison and Associates, Architects, Incorporated.
Mr. Harrison has
maintained his title of Vice President and Secretary Treasurer for the
company in conjunction with his every day architectural work. He is
currently specializing in the custom luxury home market and has been
published in various periodicals, including Southern Living, House Beautiful
and Veranda Magazine.
